The Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law organized its Development Day to Pyhätunturi followed by a Doctoral Seminar.

On the 5th and 6th of September, the Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law (NIEM) organized its Development Day for its researchers and affiliated researchers in Pyhätunturi, Finland.

The event included a doctoral seminar, where affiliated doctoral researchers held presentations on an exciting selection of projects, including the integration of indigenous knowledge systems in the international fight against climate change, the right to heritage for indigenous peoples,China’s role in the Arctic, science diplomacy, and India’s responses to climate change.

Additionally, the space allowed for open academic discussions between new and experienced researchers.
