Minna Santaoja holds a doctorate in administrative sciences and a title of docent in environmental policy at Tampere University, specializing in knowledge and environmental agency. She has studied questions related to participation and governance in the context of urban development, sustainable food, and nature conservation. Minna is interested in environmental humanities, multispecies studies, and relational, feminist, and posthumanist methodologies. She has written for instance on citizen science and human-insect relations. Minna is the editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed Alue ja Ympäristö journal. In the Arctic Centre she works on the project "Climate Responsibility as a Normative Cornerstone of Multilateral Cooperation?"
