Arktikum

The Arktikum Science Centre popularizes Arctic research and science through exhibitions, school programmes and public events.

Arctic Opposites is the permanent exhibition at the science centre (opens to the public 6.12.2024), which takes visitors from the twilight and blizzards of the dark to a summer full of light, colour and sound.

The science centre also hosts several temporary exhibitions each year. 

Arktikum in Rovaniemi is a science centre, museum, attraction, popular culture destination as well as a memorable venue for meetings and conferences.

In addition to exhibitions, the science centre organizes events for schools, Rovaniemi residents and tourists, and participates in international projects related to exhibitions and science communication.

Science centre is an active member of the European Network of Science Centres and Museums, Ecsite and Nordic Science Centre Association, NSCF. Arktikum Science Centre is also a member of the Association of science centres in Finland.
