Between October 14-17th the Arctic Circle Assembly welcomed over 400 speakers in more than 100 sessions.  One of the speakers was Professor Kamrul Hossain (the Director of NIEM and lead of UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Law). His presentation on the right to access the traditional food system was accommodated with the session “Arctic Food Security – solutions for resilience”. The session attracted a variety of both speakers and participants, including academics, policy-makers and indigenous peoples representatives.

In this year’s Arctic Circle Assembly participated also Researcher Karolina Sikora and Visiting Researcher Punam Noor from the Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law (NIEM).
