The Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit Conference will take place from May 5–7, 2025, and we are now accepting proposals for sessions to be included in the diverse program.
This year’s conference theme is “Elements of Arctic Security,” which explores security in the Arctic from multiple perspectives. Security in the Arctic encompasses issues related to human, environmental, and climate security, as well as traditional state security. Recent geopolitical shifts only emphasize the need for a holistic understanding of these interconnected dimensions in the Arctic region.
The first day of the conference at the Korundi House of Culture will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions. On the second day, at the Arktikum House, there will be a range of scientific and thematic sessions. Session proposals may include oral presentations and lectures, panel discussions, or round table discussions, and they may address various aspects of Arctic security. Sessions are expected to be 90 minutes long, with time allocated for questions and audience engagement. The primary language of the Rovaniemi Arctic Spirit Conference is English.
Session proposals are welcome until January 24, 2025.
