Nordic Tour in Karasjok – Points of view from North to South

1.11.2016 15:00

Have a look to the Northern cultural hemisphere of Karasjok via fisheye lens together with our NPE team members!

A composition of Finnish/Greenlandic/Norwegian colleagues met in Karasjok, Norway, 30th of September to share their views and to get a local perspective on the realization and effects of indigenous rights by sitting at the same workshop coffee table with local and regional indigenous and non-indigenous experts. The discussions touched upon the resource management, hearings and negotiations, political influence, cross-border cooperation, North-South divisions and future horizons. Besides the official gathering in the Cafe Sápmi, the Nordic landscape and cultural sphere offered a colorful spectrum of the lives lived in Karasjok and nearby, more than any ink in black paper could express. Have a look through the “fisheye” lens and read the story "behind" the photos by using the cursor!
