Arctic Market Days in Arktikum Science Centre on 12th-14th December 2014

Arctic Market Days brings again unique Arctic handicrafts, art, and Christmas spirit to Arktikum before holidays in December.

The three-day event will provide an opportunity to see and buy the Northern art, artifacts and natural products. The emphasis of the products is in local materials, high quality and originality together with the northern tone and you may follow Lappish artisans at work.

This year Arctic Market Days will focus on reindeer, Rangifer tarandus tanrandus. Friday 12th will be a Reindeer Theme Day with different kind of reindeer products- and workshops organized together with Reindeer Herders' Association. You can also spot a real reindeer in front of the Arktikum.

The HANDICRAFT PATH will take you on a journey to find atmospheric handicraft boutiques in the neighborhood of Arktikum.

Arctic Market Days is located in the Arktikum house, short walking distance from the Rovaniemi city centre. The Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland organizes Arctic Market Days for the seventh time, on 12th–14th December 2014.
