Enablement besides Constraints: Addressing a Cyber Multidisciplinary Framework for the Promotion of Human Security in the European High North (ECoHuCy) project partners met up on September 18th 2017 at the British Academy in London. This was the second project meeting in which partners presented the current state of their research efforts and discussed the project’s future trajectories. The meeting was organised by Swansea University.
The day began with a welcome by Prof. Michael Sheehan (Swansea
University) and a brief update on the project’s overall development by
Associate Prof. Kamrul Hossain (Arctic Centre). The morning session
consisted of researchers’ presentations on the research articles they
are currently working on, eight presentations altogether. The afternoon
session was a workshop run by Swansea University based on the
presentations so that all papers were discussed in further detail. The
workshop was followed by a steering committee meeting for deciding upon
the near future activities.
All partnering institutions –
Arctic Centre of the University of Lapland, UiT – The Arctic University
of Tromso and Institute for Security and Development Policy – attended
the meeting, alongside some external contributors. Programme and minutes
of the meeting can be found under “meeting materias”.
