ReSDA reseach project
2011-2015
Florian Stammler is a partner in a project called “Resources and Sustainable Development in the Arctic” (ReSDA), funded by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. The aim of the project is to look at ways of ensuring that a larger share of the benefits of resource developments stay in the region with fewer costs to communities. While the focus is on the Canadian Arctic, the project makes special efforts to bring in comparative aspects from other northern regions such as the Russian North or Fennoscandia to learn from other’s experiences.
