Iceberg is an architectural, audiovisual and interactive artwork in the corridor of Arktikum House. This spatial installation is being built in a workshop in collaboration with Faculty of Art and Design, Arctic Centre and Professor Herb Enns. Opening event is on Saturday 25th February at 11–12.
|“Iceberg is intended to generate emotive experiences of a
complex imaginary layered space of transience and passage inspired by
real and spiritual worlds. A linear spatial audio soundscape of ethereal
overtones reinforces the emotive experience, alluding to the constant
flow of natural elements. The orchestration of this combination of both
subtle and complex perceptual inputs is intended to create an experience
of transfiguration that highlights the mythical dimension of arctic
life,” describes Professor Herb Enns from the University of Manitoba.
The workshop is part of the Rovaniemi Design Week.
The opening event is free of charge – welcome!
