A scientific excursion to the Barents region by the Barents Arctic Network of Graduate Schools (BANG)

Contested North - Socio-economic, cultural and environmental aspects of resource development conflicts
June 11-18, 2010 (~8 ECTS)

This excursion provides a great opportunity for PhD students to visit northern Sweden,  Norway and Finland to exchange knowledge, and to create own personal networks. The program includes site visits under supervision by local experts, and lectures or briefings by senior scientists. The program also includes multidisciplinary student seminars with an opportunity to get feedback from local people and stakeholders as well as from the faculty and fellow students.
