The Arctic Centre Science Communications adds to the understanding of Arctic themes by collecting information and communicating it to the general public, to experts and to various target groups. It is responsible for the internal and external communication of the Arctic Centre as well as for event organization. ArCticles - Arctic Centre Papers is a new series of entries by Arctic Centre researchers and other staff relating to current Arctic issues by the Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland.
The Arktikum Library
The Library at the Arktikum has a collection of materials on the nature, natural phenomena, environment, peoples, cultures and livelihoods in the Northern and Arctic regions as well as about legislation, research and expeditions related to these themes. You can ask and search for further information about the themes of the exhibitions at the Science Centre and at the Provincial Museum and about other northern themes.
The Science Communication develops and maintains information services connected to the Arctic and the Barents regions, relating to research, the environment and international relations among other things.
