The Northern lights, also known as Aurora Borealis, are a spectacular natural phenomenon often seen dancing around in fantastic colors across the northern Arctic sky.
On September 29, 2017 Arktikum Science Centre opens its doors and invites the public to experience a night full of Aurora Borealis and to learn more about phenomenon. Northern lights researchers will give insight into their daily work and the fascinating world of Aurora Borealis and the participant will also learn how to take photos of Northern lights.
The same event will take place twice during the same evening with the opening of the Northern light photo exhibition between the events.
A small evening snack is offered to all the guests. If we are lucky; the evening will end by observing Northern lights from the bank of Ounasjoki river just behind Arktikum building.
For registration to the event, please see www.arktikum.fi or call +358 16 322 3260. There is a maximum of 150 persons/session.
